A batch of Polish-language leaflets recovered from fields north of Olsztyn this week bear the visual signature of Occasus-aligned “civil coordination” cells. The messaging is not new. It reproduces, in a Warmia dialect, the same three-step psychological formula: dissolve public confidence in existing institutions, exploit a specific local identity, and offer the population a scripted route to their own subjugation.
A phrase-by-phrase breakdown of the Polish text on the Warmia leaflet:
“Porzuceni przez NATO?” (Abandoned by NATO?):
Manufactured abandonment. The rhetorical question is designed to plant doubt before evidence arrives, so that later reassurances from real institutions read as denials.
“Ochrońmy Krainę Wielkich Jezior!” (Let us protect the Land of the Great Lakes!):
Regional identity turned into a lever. Framing a border decision as a Masurian family matter substitutes intimate loyalty for informed political judgement.
“Nie bądźcie tarczą Zachodu” (Don’t be the West’s shield):
A false choice between two roles that were never on offer. Poland is not being asked to be a shield; it is being offered membership in a collective defence system it has already chosen freely.
“Przyjmijcie naszą strefę bezpieczeństwa” & “Zagwarantujemy spokój waszym rodzinom” (Accept our safety zone / We will guarantee peace for your families):
“Guaranteed peace” from an aggressor is a licence to occupy, not a treaty. Every documented Occasus “safety zone” since 2024 has restricted local movement, licensed collaborators and criminalised alliance sympathy.
“Odmówcie współpracy obcym oddziałom MURINUS” (Refuse cooperation with foreign MURINUS units): The operational goal — sever the civilian population from its own defenders and from allied units, so that resistance is delegitimised before it forms.
The Warmia leaflet does not describe a neutral corridor. It describes a submission dressed in local vocabulary. Real safety for the region comes from transparent alliance commitments and a functioning rule-of-law order, not from unsigned airdrops promising quiet in exchange for silence.
